Metal Boat Quarterly

"An education on metal boats in every issue!"

The Metal Boat Quarterly, or MBQ, flagship publication of the Metal Boat Society, is an invaluable resource for the metal boat builder or owner. It includes articles written by marine professionals and member volunteers, with an emphasis on the "how to" of metal boats, steel or aluminum. It has been described by one member as containing an education on metal boats in every issue!

The Quarterly is available in two formats, a print edition that is mailed every three months to members worldwide, and a downloadable PDF version available from the website. The content of both versions is identical.

The MBQ is available only to members, and is included in the annual membership dues. For information on becoming a member and receiving the Metal Boat Quarterly please visit our Membership Page. We would be pleased to have you aboard!

A recent sampling of articles includes such as:

Frames First... Or Plates First?: A Discussion of Metal Boat Building Methods
Rethink Your Long Term Cruising Communications
Stainless for Exhaust Systems   Weight Watchers for Boat Builders
Building Wood Cabinets for Metal Boats
Yacht Insurance for Metal Boats   Birth of the Metal Boat Society
